Breakfast diet choice surprises for our Lap Band patients

Remember that the Lap Band is not meant to prevent you from eating. It is meant to help you with your hunger. By controlling your hunger you can control the amount of calories you eat.

People are sometimes surprised by the caloric content of the foods they eat.
Here are some examples:

Breakfast burrito at a popular drive thru restaurant:
450 calories, 27 grams of fat.

Cappuccino with whole milk:
180 calories, 9 grams of fat.

Croissant sandwhich at a popular fast food restaurant:
340 calories, 12 grams of fat.

Sausage patty:
170 calories, 15 grams of fat.

Bacon 2 slices:
90 calories, 7 grams of fat.

So many calories and a ton of fat.. Now tell me about the foods with less calories and fat. I’ve been so busy in the past with the fatty foods that there might be alot of foods that are good for me, with out all the calories and fat, that I don’t know about or over looked, while reaching for that McDonalds burrito.

Take a look at the book – “Eat This, Not That.” It has a lot of info on fast food choices.
