Most of your success will come from what goes on between your ears, as in the education you have been given and how you use that knowledge to your advantage. You can not expect to lose weight without making significant lifestyle changes and the support of others. You are fortunate to have support groups in your community. They are there to help you. It is a renewing of your commitment.

Our area support group met last night, Feb. 2, at the hospital in Mount Pleasant. It was so helpful and encouraging. We exchanged ideas, answered questions, and walked away with some handouts of lists of proteins. Betty also reminds you of all of the do’s and don’t with the Band. If you are not in a group or have never attended a meeting but are considering it… I highly recommend that you try one. The next Mount Pleasant meeting will be the first Monday in March. Can’t wait!

I attended the meeting last night (Feb. 9), it was great. I had been to a couple that I was not so sure about. So if you have went and didn’t like it, go back. Each meeting is different. Last night was very informative, and kind of gave me a boost to remember, I did not put this on over night and I will not take it off overnight. It is not healthy to take it off overnight anyway. I have hit a plateau and a lady shared with me she did for 3 months and then dropped 12lbs. She has lost over 200lbs. That is what I needed to hear. I have so much to be thankful for, I have NOT gained any back, and I have not been vomiting. I still have not reached my sweet spot, but everyone takes different fills. I knew that stuff, but we need to hear it over and over again! Please go to the meetings, hope you get as much out of it as I did last night.

p.s. Bought the books, Eat This, Not That for fast food and the supermarket version. These are great books, they break down why “this” is not good (even though some are food we think are good) and why “that” is better.

Nashville support group “aspire to inspire” don’t forget your goals. We meet Mon., Feb. 16th 7:00 p.m. at Bell’s Gym in Nashville. Everyone is welcome. Our homework was for everyone to bring a list of goals…we were to set 1 month, 6 month and 1 year goals. See everyone Monday night!!
